I was told 3 years ago that I was diabetic and was put on metformin. A few weeks ago I changed my doctor and found out that I am not diabetic and was taken off diabetic meds. While on metformin i had recurring bloody stool and developed skin tags on my neck, under my arms and near my privates. I found out that metformin can cause skin tags and bloody stool as well as other problems. I have yet to find out if other problems will arise. Can I sue my old doctor based on what I presented?. Thanks for your time
You may be able to sue, it depends on a handful of factors that you may not want to share publicly on this forum. It is my understanding that diabetes can go into remission, but it is not something that ever goes away. If you never had and do not have diabetes, you should contact an attorney near you to evaluate your claim. Your attorney will want to see your medical records.
Best of luck.
