Well he had me believe that he changed. He went and checked himself into a hospital n got some help with prescriptions for his drinking and anxiety. He was good for about 4-5 months then we moved to Canton, Ohio away from my family and closer to my kids little over a month ago. The last two weeks have been hell for me he started drinking again and we got into an argument about that and he spit in my face and raised his fist at me and said he was going to hit me if I didn't leave the bedroom. When I called the police they couldn't do anything because he didn't leave any marks. Buy then after that it became mostly verbal telling me I'm a bad mother, that me, my kids and family are assholes and wishes we all would die. Calling me vulgar names. I have couple recordings of his raging anger
A civil protection order (CPO) does not cover mean or hateful behavior. It's meant to cover a family member or intimate partner of someone against death, severe bodily harm, or threats of such. It sounds like you may have a basis for getting one based on his recent behavior. The fact that one has been dismissed in the past does not mean you cannot file another one, particularly if new issues are involved.
