I got a ticket for possession of marijuana (221.05) and when I went to court they gave me an acod for a 1 year. When I applied for my license I wrote that I was pending charges (due to acod) with intentions of the case being dismissed at a later date. NYS licensing requested a detailed explanation and a certificate of disposition (which I’m not sure what to say). Will I still be able to get my license? Is there anyway to get the acod shortened?
Yes you should still be able to get your nursing license. Go to the court and get your certificate of disposition. You answered the question now follow up and give the board the certificate and let the board know it was a simple possession. Keep after the board and be honest. Good Luck
Once your ACD has run your case will be sealed. No need to report it to anyone
