I received a form that says notice of right to have exemptions designated. It states that I have had a judgment filed against me on 3-19-16 and this is to exempt any assets I may have from being taken. It was delivered in the beginning of May this year to my father by a sheriff because I was out of town. The date on the paper however says 4-4-16. It states I have no more than 20 days after it was served or I will lose valuable statutory rights.
Your time limit should run from the date you were served, so you may still have time. In any event, you should go ahead and complete the paperwork and file it ASAP.
