I have a restraining order placed on my ex boyfriend. I helped him by giving a ride back home because his car died. I ended up leaving and I returned because I have his items in my possession. So I returned to his cousins to give them to him. Wel he ended up seeing my car and ran in front of my car. He told me to hit him so I stayed calm until he told me to get out the car. He told me to get out the car and began to take my kids out the ignition. So I drove off with him climbing into my window to get to help. I put into the wawa parking lot and started screaming help. A offduty cop saw it and advised him to get his hands out his pockets and get on the ground. He continued to take my keys and ran. The officer explained the prosecutor wanted to place charges on me and decided against due to my non existent criminal record compared to him. I am worried that I will be charged at a later date for something. Maybe endangering the welfare of my children. I didn't know what to do. Please give me advice. They ended up not finding him but charged him and issued warrant solely on violations of restraining order. And they said they had to investigate more into the situation .
I'm moving your question over to the Criminal Defense category; someone there will be better able to assist you.
A bit more information would be helpful in answering this question. It sounds icky certainly can be charged. Most attorneys offer free consultations in this area of law. I would certainly take advantage of that opportunity. Best of luck.
Yes you can still be charged for up to 5 years for most crimes and 1 year for most disorderly persons offense. If charged get a lawyer and stop posting in incriminating evidence online.

If they did not charge you it seems you are ok. But if they want to talk retain an attorney before the meeting. He violated the fro plus other offense but you agreeing to see him dies no good for anyone.
