My husband didn’t pay a dime for the ring. I purchased it myself with my money before we were legally married. I have bill of sale with the date purchased. I believe it’s my personal property and I can sell it. Again, bought with my own money prior to marriage.
Also, I purchased both our wedding rings prior to marriage with my money. Can I sell mine as well?
It depends upon whether or not a divorce has already been filed. If it has already been filed and you are subject to the standing order that most counties have then the answer is no. If the divorce is not been filed and you’re not subject to the standing order then you’re going to be called to account for the money once the divorce is filed
