Sounds like he was representing his client and you are unhappy with the result. You can try to file but are unlikely to get any satisfaction.
Filing an ethics grievance with the Office of Attorney Ethics (609-530-4008) is an option of course, but it won't do anything to further your case. In fact, the ethics system here in NJ will decline to open an investigation into an attorney's conduct while there is a related court case in progress.
I suggest that you document what took place and write to the judge who issued the order to seek to put your case against the landlord back on track. Copy the attorney on everything you send to the court. You may want to put your communication with the court in the form of an affidavit, but make doubly sure it contains no mistakes. When dealing with the court on your own, always look like the good guy. At this point, your real adversary is the landlord. Concentrate on presenting your case and not on engaging in a fight with the landlord's attorney. Good luck.

Don't hear anything he did wrong. He represented his client and asked for an adjournment which is granted as a matter of course. Almost every trial has people on both sides saying opposite things. Opinion, not lies. Unless you can show something blatant, move on.
