I want to know if I agree to talk to an investigator without an attorney can I stop the questioning and ask for an attorney at a later time during the questioning
Yes, you can invoke your right to an attorney at any time. I would suggest, however, not talking to them at all without one. Even if you think you can control the direction of the interview and what you share, they are professionals and often gain more information from your answers (or lack thereof) than you'd think.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not. What determines Avvo Rating?Experience & background
