Georgia Army National Guard, I have already signed up and sworn in, I was also promised I would be a E-3 by the time I make it to basic training due to referrals. If not can I refuse to ship on that day and break my contract? What will be the consequences and what will happen at MEPS if I done that? I’m already worried about basic.
Not being promoted is a chain of command issue... we don’t know if you made the referrals that count. If you have discuss this with RSP and the RRB in your state. .. Not showing up/not shipping is a bad idea. You would be AWOL.... Honestly you’re trying to figure out excuses because you’re not sure if you want to go to Basic. You need to work through you’re issues with RSP.
I have been in the National Guard for nearly 39 years. I was apprehensive when I went back then. It happens to all of us. 3 days into AIT I wondered what I was doing in the Army...it wast that hard to get through it...
