I intentionally had a case were I was the plaintiff and lost the counter suit. Not having the funds to put up for an appeal of $7700.00 I opened a new civil suit against the defendant that originally won there fraudulent claim. Unfortunately on the day of the court proceedings I was a litigant in another case in another state and in my absence my case was dismissed with prejudice (Even though I called for an continuous).
If truly dismissed with prejudice, you have serious problems and are highly unlikely to be able to come back to Court on the same matter unless you appeal. Seek out a local attorney to help.
