Yesterday my 8yr old, who has a seizure disorder and behavior issues was isolated, restrained and handcuffed and then escorted to a mental health facility by a police officer. Another child was allowed into the room to witness what was going on. My child was then escorted out of the building in front of other children. I also believe that a staff member and former coworker has disclosed to individuals outside of school information regarding my child. I have made the decision to remove her from the school as I have experienced on going issues with them. She is adamant that she doesn't want to return. She is scared, traumatized and embarrassed. She has intimated to me that she's afraid the other children will ridicule and shame her should she return.
I am changing your practice area to Education Law in hopes you get some good answers from lawyers in that field.
