I loaned my vehicle to someone. When I asked for car back they claimed they brought it back to my house. After I filed police report for stolen vehicle, a few days later this person decided to give it back and took me to the car. When I got in, the dash was bashed in, stereo destroyed with vents and heat/air unit. When I asked about it they said there were break ins at their apartment but they never filed a report with police or told me.
You could pursue them, but I would recommend you go through your insurance company and just pursue them for the deductible. It would be a smalls claim matter and you could file it on your own. You could also potentially report the matter to Metro regarding the alleged theft and destruction of property and the DA can decide whether they want to file for criminal charges.
