I am filing EB-1 extraordinary ability I-140 petition. I am currently working in my area of expertise and planning to move to a new job in the same area of expertise for salary and benefits reasons. This new future employer has been mentioned in the I-140 petition. How will it affect my green card process if I do not join the proposed employer and continue at my current employer because of- 1. contract terms not favorable to me or 2. future employer no long remains interested because of prolonged timeline of green card process? Will I have difficulties at the time of AOS/green card interview?
This category is reserved for people of extraordinary abilities. It is structured as self - petition and not tied to any specific employer even in cases where employer filed the petition. The only expectation is that you will continue working in your area of expertise.
