My mom is getting married and moving to a different town, I want to stay where we are, but she has custody over me because her and my dad aren't together, can I choose to move out and find somewhere else to live?
Hi, If your mom agrees then it should not be a problem. If not, you could move in with your father or else try to become emancipated. To do that you have to show that you are self sufficient and can support yourself. Talk to a local attorney for more advice and information. Good luck to you.
Perhaps your parents can agree that you'll move in with your father. However, you can't make adult decisions yet.
