I am trying to buy 10 acres but behind my 10 acres is 19.48 acres. this land is land locked and the easement runs right through the middle of my land where i want to build my home and barns. Is it possible to move the easement to the outside border of my land? If so what steps need to be taken.
Contact the owner and get permission in writing. Then you can record new deeds with the new easement description. Otherwise, short of buying those acres as well, you will have to take the matter to court for it to be altered. I would recommend seeing about the change before you make the purchase.
