Unable to pay medical bills. Try to pay off but monthly charges are what I would be able to pay. Can you continue to use VA services after bankruptcy?
You can list VA medical center bills as unsecured debts on your Chapter 7 petition. Those charges can be discharged, just like other medical bills. If you are eligible for VA services, the Chapter 7 filing should not affect future treatment. It only discharges past due accounts on the date of your filing. You should consult a local bankruptcy attorney about these issues.
My answers to questions posed on this site is no substitute for obtaining legal advice from competent local counsel.
You should be able to. Use the find a lawyer tool here on AVVO to find a local bankruptcy attorney, most offer free consultations. Good Luck!
