I was accused of 1st degree murder and solicitation of especially aggravated kidnapping of a minor. The guy was 17 years old but told the cops he was 18 at the time of my conviction. It was later found out that he lied under oath and my sentence had already been given. I spent 4 years in Whiteville Correctional Facility near Memphis, tn. I am now living Knoxville, tn and was wondering even with me being a convicted felon and still being on parole for the next 7 years, can I get a business lices?
Consult with a local attorney and take all your paperwork with you to the consultation.
Every case is fact sensitive. Without knowing all the facts, no attorney can give you specific advice that you can totally rely on. ANY answer here is just trying to help lead you in the right direction. That direction is to sit down with a local attorney and give them ALL the facts in your case, so that you can get good legal advice. Certainly any response that I give should not be considered legal advice or counsel that can be depended upon.
I would say yes, but it may depend on the type of license.
I am not your attorney nor is any answer I may provide legal advice. You may contact me directly for legal advice only if you are a resident of Tennessee insofar as I only practice in Tennessee.
