I am in Las Vegas NV drug court my fiance is in Las Vegas NV mental health court we are both on probation for wobbler gross misdemeanor/felonies we want to get married but not sure if our probation officers will allow us to we have a place but we don't know if our probation officer will let us move in I'm taking custody of the two children that is hers and I am moving in with her mother in April but we are not sure if when she gets out of her sober living house that the probation officer will allow us to live together any information will help us greatly thank you for your time
Contact your PO and talk with him/her about this. If the PO won't give permission, contact your lawyer for your criminal case or consult with a new lawyer. There is a fundamental right to marry that trumps probation conditions. Good luck!
I agree with Ms. Feliciano--contact your PO first and then consult with a lawyer if your PO will not agree to the marriage.
I agree with Amy Feliciano and Alexis Plunkett. There's no doubt about it: you do have the right to get married. But to facilitate it happening, you may have to work with some people.
