Someone i know skipped bail and is now on the run. The bail bondsman came to my house to ask if i knew where he was and where they could find him. When they asked me i honestly had no clue to his whereabouts whatsoever. It was acouole ofndays since i had heard from him. My question is if he is caught one day while im hanging out with him will i get in any trouble for hanging around him after the bail bondsmans asked me if i knew where he was and i told them i honestly didnt know at that time?
Yes you can get into trouble. You can be accused by the government of being an accessory after the fact. Harboring a fugitive is itself a crime, but sitting at a bar with one is not. So, "hanging out" is a very loosely defined term in the eyes of law enforcement. Given the appreciable harm that could be caused by "hanging out" with one, the best answer I can give is that law enforcement can arrest you.
Sorry about your friend. It is never a good idea to "hang" around with "wanted' individuals.. eg aiding and abetting.
