My husband was arrested in November for domestic/domestic violence 3rd on me & assault on our daughter, she is 17. Judge placed him on no contact, which he says I did. He moved into low income apartments with another woman, bought her a car and is not helping at marital home, I am disabled. Power in his name, I paid right at $500 March 17th, now they are turned off & bill $1200, more than I get in a month, I saw bank statement where she wrote herself a $450 check & signed his name, one for cash $800& $350, does he not have to help financially at all ?
If you are not yet divorced, that is what I would urge you to pursue, on the grounds of physical cruelty, as soon as possible. Consult a local attorney as he or she could gather more fact from you such as how long the two of you were married (for alimony purposes), child support (though with your child at 17, she may emancipate soon - your attorney could better advise you one that point).
