First time convicted felon. 1 sale/possession of under 20 grams of marijuana(One $20 bag), Which equates to 2 felonies. 4 years probation with early term around 2 years, 100 hours community service, 12 drug alcohol classes, Fines/Restitution. I completed every condition except I’m at 1 year and 4 months into the probation. My probation officer and Supervisor of the probation office seems ecstatic and will certainly vouch for an early termination. No violations, and since being on probation, ive started my own remodeling business which really entails me to move around a lot so I believe probation is holding me back. I’ve also gotten back into college. Is it possible for early termination??
It is up to your Judge whether to allow you to terminate probation early and when. A lot of judges will want you to make the halfway point, but your situation sounds exceptional, and if you have a good attorney and the support of your PO then your chances are better. The sentence looks pretty heavy to begin with. In other counties, you should have been way better off to begin with.
It’s possible but no one can say for sure. Hire a criminal defense attorney to file a motion and have a hearing.
