Obtaining an award of attorney's fees is not the simple process you imagine. First there must be law or court rule authorizing the award of fees, and then the attorney must take action during the case to protect the client's right to obtain the award. Under Idaho law attorney's fees can be awarded for legal fees incurred when the other party's actions are frivolous. If the case dismissed was in AZ, the law of that state would apply. Your own attorney is your best source of information on the availability of fees.
