I was driving on i16 through Laurens County and was pulled over for going “97 in a 70” (my speedometer did not show that high) via laser. I did not ask to see the laser but did mention I did not feel I was going that fast. I have out of state plates/my license is in another state as I only work at my office sometimes in Atlanta. The officer did not ask for my registration, wrote down my car as “tan” (it’s silver), wrote a random generic year for my car (since he didn’t get the registration) and wrote Nx300 instead of Nx200 for the model. I have a 100% clean driving record, have never even gotten a ticket. Can I fight this?
Hire an attorney. They will negotiate the speed with the Solicitor to reduce the speed and avoid the fees for your speeding.
Best of Luck!
An experienced speeding / traffic attorney is best able to help you avoid the super speeder fine. At this speed I suggest that you go ahead and take a 6 to 8 hour defensive driving class at a State approved school to help mitigate the circumstances. Use Avvo's find a lawyer tab to start your search for an attorney. Good luck.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
