My former spouse is responsible for half of my child’s medical bills as well as school registration etc, but when I send him information regarding the amount, he finds some expense that I "owe" him for and pays short. Is there some way to bill him thru a third party?
Without his agreement, your only remedy is thru the DA's office for child support or medical arrears issues, or by filing a Motion with Family Court to hold him in contempt for failing to pay as Ordered. Some courts appoint Parenting Coordinators who act as liaisons and problem solvers to some degree, but there is a charge, and no ability of the Parenting Coordinator to force compliance. Keep track of the amounts not paid. Periodically send an email or letter detailing the monies not paid, and at some point if you find yourself in court for other reasons, or the amount becomes significant, you can bring the matter before the Court.
