I have been threatened by a payday loan store and they claim i owe more money then i initially borrowed. I put a stop payment on the last payment because it did not add up to what was agreed on. They claimed that i missed a payment but never informed me via phone. They harassed me at my job prior to the stop payment after i asked them several times not to call my work phone due to embarassment and they would call biweekly on my job phone anyways. Now they are saying i owe them 410 and i dont understand how or why. I dont believe that i owe them this much and i feel like i am being scammed. When i initually set up the loan they threatened my credit and now that it went to their corporate they are threatening me with wage garnishment and legal fees. What can i do because they insist that i have to pay this money and that i will be in more debt if i dont.
