I have 4 dwi and I dwai. My last one was in 2006. I have been through drug court etc. I am now finally at the point where I would like my license to travel to and from work but am told I have a life time ban,?=25 years. Is it forseeable to try and get a conditional before the 25 years is up.
Speak to DMV or a local DUI lawyer if Avvo attys can't help you.
I am licensed attorney who focuses on Serious DUI Cases such a 2nd DUIs, 3rd DUIs, 4th DUIs, and Felony DUIs and DMV hearings. I also have much experience handling car accident cases. Although the information I provide is helpful, it is not legal advice. Although Avvo makes it clear to consumers that attorney answers to questions are for general purposes only and do not establish an attorney-client relationship, some attorneys prefer to add their own disclaimers to answers. You can set your custom disclaimer here and it will be automatically added to your answers. Do NOT include any direct solicitations or contact information.
You are not eligible for a conditional license. You cannot apply to be reinstated until 5 years after the lifetime ban but after 5 Dwis I can't imagine they will ever give your driving privileges back.
I am a former Brooklyn Criminal Court Deputy Bureau Chief with 20 years experience specializing in handling criminal cases. All answers are for information purposes only. Answering this question or any future questions does not form any attorney-client relationship. Be mindful, that answers are limited by the limited facts presented by the questioner and are not meant to take the place of competent legal advice by an attorney fully informed of all the facts surrounding your case. Also, be aware that nothing posted in a public forum such as this can be deemed confidential or privileged communication.

It is not likely, but review what my colleagues have written. Do No get caught driving on this suspension!
Because of the fact that you have more than 3 prior alcohol related convictions within 25 yrs,, you will likely not be able to obtain a license for at least 5 years, possibly longer.
