i was 22 yr old w/17 yr. old girlfriend had consensual sex but was convicted of 2nd degree sexual assault & sentenced to 2 yrs. Missouri does not require me to register as sex offender however Nevada does. I was convicted in Missouri. What can i do (if anything) to no longer having to register in NevadaI am now 46 years old and married and have a 17 year old daughter and have not done anything like that ever again. Also I am currently being evicted from our apartment home ( Tuesday 11,12,2014 Court) Thank you for your time and please respond A.S.A.P. mY FAMILY is desperate!
You could try sealing and / or expunging your record in Missouri. You could also try contacting the Attorney General in Nevada. You could also file a lawsuit in the Nevada District Court claiming it is illegal to require you to have to register.
you can also file a complaint to be removed from the requirement to register. However, given the time frame outlined... I would request and sealing of the the record back in Missouri.
