My ex sent her bf to my door to drop off my daughter and left because she didn't want her anymore "over money" in the last 9 yrs she has went an entire year with no contact and then will go months without contact until we have court, then she calls on a daily. On 7/19/16 She was ordered to pay CS finally, but now she is 3 months behind. she sent text sh did not want summer visitation for 30 days, after court she was allowed 2 day visits since problems with her mom allowing different bf's to sleep in the same bed with my 7yrdaughter. Her visit was 2pm-9pm after 2 hours late, texting her, she responded she was going out to eat (a date), then will see about seeing her, she hasn't seen her since Xmas 2015 6 months ago, she ended visitation a hour early @ 8pm. The next day she was allowed 8am-11am She showed up 2 hours late at 10am knowing she wouldn't see her again until Xmas in 6 months. Xmas came she sent no tickets and had no contact, now it will be a year until she sees her. My wife that has raised her for the last 9 years wants to adopt her and we want to terminate her parental rights Due to lack of communication, visits, or any kind of emotional, physical or financial support.
This is a TPR case coupled with a step-parent adoption. Consult with local family law practitioner to review prior court orders and possible success of a step-parent adoption.
