I've been married for 32 years & want a divorce. We 4 kids 3 are adults & one is 18. Everything we own is in his name. House, his working trucks, and cars, everything. Even the bills. So I have nothing in my name really seems like I don't exist. He had a great job but not any more. To the point sorry, he cheated on me. Turns out
my whole marriage was a lie & to this day he still is cheating on me with who was, his secretary. He wants me to leave the home cause like I said, everything we own is in his name. He paid for it and it belongs only to him. I was not allowed to work, but in all the 32 years I might of worked 5 months in all. What can I expect to happen with my divorce?
You should expect all assets and liabilities that came about after you and your husband were married and before the date of the divorce filing to be split equally if there is a trial and you should not agree on anything significantly less in a settlement. You also have a great shot at alimony due to the length of marriage and the disparity in income, with his current income being imputed to his old income, which likely won't occur for he'll have new income soon enough.
