I have power of attorney over my brother and i need to enroll him in school. I plan to enroll him in k12 online public school, as he was before in South Carolina. But we reside in Pennsylvania County. Do they have to accept my POA since it states i have the right to enroll him in school, or is there a form to loco parentis? our mom is not at all willing to give me guardianship but he has been living with me for 6 months and i now have POA.
Most school districts will want a custody order and a power of attorney, which I assume was signed by your parents or your brother's custodian, wouldn't work. You should consider filing for custody.
