Almost every night there are people outside my house blasting music, revving engines and yelling at 2am. The police are called almost each time and nothing seems to get done. I called to report it and they say the next person to call about it will be arrested for harassing the police department. But yet if someone calls during the day time on us complaining our music is too loud the police come and threaten us with a noise violation citation. What can I do? The music is loud enough to the point that stuff inside my house is shaking
Typically the 911 dispatch center will route your call to the appropriate PD. Their call. You might also call your local government about a zoning complaint for noise (there might be such a thing in your aera, worth an ask). All else fails, you can sue them for private nuisance. Good luck.
