Can I claim my deceased great grandmother houses?

I am not clear what you mean by "no deed", whether you simply do not have a copy of the deeds or that no deeds exist in public records. You will likely need to have ownership verified through a chain of title search done by a title company, after which you would open a Probate in Illinois of your grandmother's estate in the county where your grandmother died (and possibly for others). Legal heirship will need to be determined by the probate court and then a release of interest from each interested party, if any, would need to be obtained. The court would then hopefully approve you as the sole owner of the IL property. An ancillary probate would be opened in TN to transfer the property there. There are many necessary questions that are not answered in your inquiry and that require that you meet with an IL probate attorney to provide more information than can be covered in this forum. Best of luck.
