Sometime next week I am turning 18. Will I have to wait a certain time before moving in with a parent or can I move as soon as I turn 18.
If 18 is the age of majority in Colodado (or whatever State you reside in) then you move wherever you want to move. Obviously, the one caveat is that they want you to live with them if you move in with someone else. Remember, too, that changing your residence will probably change any child support that has been ordered but the parents will have to fight that out since they are the parties.
At 18 years of age, you are an adult in the State of Colorado and no longer subject to the control of your parents.
