I feel unsafe and emotionally and mentally abused in my current home. I have a great relationship with my father and would like to live with him. My mother makes me feel insecure, scared and like I have no voice. I feel like I can’t be happy here. It has affected me at school and my ability to work at school.
The judge will listen to your argument as to why you want to live with your dad. However, someone, likely your father, will have to bring the matter before the court. He should consult with an attorney about how to get that done. If you think your present home life is seriously threatening to you and it's an emergency situation, you should tell either a teacher or minister, and have them contact Children's Services to get you out of that house immediately.
