I sold my car however the title is still in my name since there was a lien on the car because the buyer didn't pay in full. I didn't draw up a release of liability. The buyer registered the car and recently had an accident in which the car was totaled. Can I be held liable for anything?
Define "driver registered the car." How did he do that without the title? Was the lien eventually paid off and you delivered the title?
If the vehicle was not in his name, you will still be liable to your loan company.
