I met a girl on tagged. Her profile said she was 18. She told me she worked at a library in records. She also stated that she was at work on occasions. She was 15 or 16 unbeknownst to me. We stated texting and at her request traded nude photos. She sent one first. Later on her parents caught her trying to send a video and then contacted me, told me her age and accused me of trying to abduct their daughter. Even though nothing like that ever happened and I wanted to meet in public like any normal online date. I'm just wondering if they can charge me or take me to court for this
You should speak to an experienced criminal defense lawyer that practices in your area ASAP. Do not speak with this underage young lady or her parents anymore. Do not speak to any investigators. Do not share the photos with anyone. Don't upload you phone to any cloud. Don't post about this incident on social media.

You need to talk to a criminal defense lawyer in NC ASAP! Yes you can be charged for child pornography related offenses. If she lives in another state, you should expect federal charges. Keep a copy of the terms of service for Tagged, along with her Tagged profile. An honest and reasonable mistake regarding her age could be a defense, but you really need to talk to a defense attorney licensed to practice in your state.
