I am dating a girl under the age of 18 and if anybody were to find out can I bail myself out of jail?
Dating an underage girl is NOT illegal. Having sex with an underage girl will result in jail time and possible lifetime registration every year on your birthday as a sex offender. Sure you might be able to bail yourself. But, you may also ruin your life if you have sex with an underage girl. Come on man.
The age of consent in California is 18. It is illegal for anyone to engage in sexual intercourse with a minor (someone under the age of 18) unless they are that person’s spouse. There is no Romeo & Juliet or close-in-age exception.

Dating is not illegal but any sexual relations or sexually related conduct is illegal. However, depending on her age you could be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor or sexual battery even if there is no sexual conduct. If she under the age of 14, you could be charged with child molestation, so gotta stay away from those 12 and 13 year olds Romeo. Bail yourself out of jail? Depends if you have several hundred or thousand dollars in spare cash.
