I live in dale county alabama. We live on a road that turns into a dirt road after you cross the "bridge". Every time it rains the bridge washes out. 3 years ago The county decided to put a weight limit on it & as a result, the garbage truck cant cross it. So all the people who live on this side, have to, somehow, carry our 90 gal required cans across the bride for pick up each week. We were not given any notice, had 2 figure it out when the garbage wasnt picked up. So i stopped paying the bill because they stopped providing the service that I originally signed up for 15 years ago. I was arrested for failure to participate in garbage collection. I have to go to court on this next month. I feel like they should at least cut the bill in half. Does it sound like i have a case?
I suggest you pay a few hundred dollars to get a legal opinion on the specific situation. You likely have options. I wish you the best.
