I am paying a pretty good amount of child support and I want to get a copy of my ex-wife's W2 to see if I'm paying the correct amount based on what she is making. Do I have a legal right to ask for and receive that?
If it is a split or shared placement payment calculation, then YES.
If you only have the kids, 23% or less, then it isn't a share or split placement. NO.
In normal child support the other parents income has nothing to do with the amount in Wisconsin.
But if you are interested... The next time you are in court for something with them, provide them a Interrogatories and Request for Production of Documents, or a Subpoena for Request of Documents and you will get a copy.
