Been married to my ex husband( US citizen) from Feb 2nd 2016 until July 2018.He sponsored me as a US citizen to get my permanent green card, but we got divorced recently, and we both signed for withdrawal of I 130 and I 485 from USCIS. During the time of our marriage I received my SSN# and 2 years conditional green card. What is your advice for me to do? , since we both signed for withdrawal of petitions? Could I still get my 10 year permanent green card? Thank you
If you received your conditional residency, you can file for a waiver of the joint filing requirement within 90 days of the 2 year anniversary of obtaining the CPR. It is best to consult with an attorney for guidance.
Engage an immigration lawyer ASAP would be our advice. You cannot "withdraw I 130 and I 485" after you have become a conditional resident. If the marriage was bonafide, you can still proceed to remove conditions.
