5 yrs ago my husband and I filed chapter 7 due to debt. Now I want to apply for full liquor license in Utah to run a restaurant. Will this bankruptcy affect my license? Will I even be approved?
You won't know until you try, so go for it! It has been my experience that in most instances people who have successfully emerged from the Bankruptcy process do not run into any problems getting approved for various licenses from State agencies. I have had past clients obtain Car Sales permits, all manner of small business permits, etc., virtually all types of licenses. My expectation is you won't run into any problems whatsoever based upon your prior bankruptcy case. Best of Luck to you.
