About 6 years ago I took a plea deal at my lawyer's advice which he said wouldn't require me to register (290). I was ordered to register anyway. The part of the deal where I wouldn't be required to register wasn't mentioned in the sentencing session, but last week I saw him for the first time after sentencing and he admitted his mistake and apologized.
If he is willing to admit it in court if necessary, can I file a "Habeous Corpus for ineffectiveness of counsel"? If not is there any Post-Conviction motion I could use to withdraw the plea?
Six years later? That's a little too late to complain about anything.

Something seems a little fishy about this. I can't imagine a lawyer remembering something that minute six years later. The docket and court file should reflect if you were advised or not. What charge did you admit? You better look into this quickly.
