The HOA in pa is trying to sue me for attorneys fees the have accrued since Jan of this year and last year . I was never informed that they had even retained an attorney . Also we reached an agreement last wk and now they have charged me another 900.00 in 5 days .. I feel that I am being discriminated against because I am currently in a bankruptcy. Asking advice whether I should retain an attorney . I believe I only owe the actual fees for the HOA about 250.00 .
Great question, some HOA attorneys can be very expensive. If you're currently in a bankruptcy, then there may be options to contest those attorney's fees depending on the details. I would recommend consulting with an attorney, they will need to review all the factual details in order to give you quality legal advice.
