I was just wondering if you have sex with an escort, is it safe to say that they aren't a police officer. Is it possible that the police are allowing escorts to have sex with johns so they can arrest them later? would that be illegal?
I don't claim to know everything that the police have ever done, but typically an undercover officer is not actually going to have sex with anyone as part of an operation. I have not seen or heard of a case in which the police have recruited actual prostitutes, watched them have sex with a john, and then arrested the john.
No, police cannot have sex with you for money, nor even offer to do so. And, while not unheard of, it is exceedingly rare that they would actually have sex, as opposed to busting you as soon as you offer or agree to have sex for money. That said, it would not stop them from arresting you as they regularly violate the law when it comes to prostitution sting operations.
Mr. Wooldridge is correct is his analysis, in my opinion. If you had sex with an escort for money, then it would seem as if you both could be charged, you with solicitation and the escort for prostitution, if there were any charges brought.
