Social security claims they over paid me. I'm requesting a waiver or payment plan. They already withheld my November check. I'm worried about my IRA.
SSA cannot take money from your retirement account. Florida Statute 222.21(2)(a) shields retirement accounts from judgment creditors. As you seem to have experienced, Social Security can deduct the amount you owe from future Social Security checks.
