Went out of work September 9th 2019 on a work related injury. Had neck surgery and have been on workers comp. sense. I have seen my job posted online several times. I have been released by the doctor to go back to work on Monday September 21 2020 and no one is returning my calls. Not sure if I still have a job.
It happens all the time. You should talk to a lawyer who handles work comp claims there in CT so that you can protect your rights and get TTD started, if appropriate. You may also have a new claim to pursue based on loss of your job.

Once your FMLA expires, there is no obligation for the employer to hold your job unless you have contractual provisions stating otherwise. You comp case will remain open and available to you whether or not you are still employed with the company. If you have a comp attorney, they might reach out to the adjuster to ask the employer if you can return to work there.
