It was agreed that my hourly rate for on call after hours was $10.00/ hr . I did it for 5 years clocking in close to 3000 hrs . Now my company wants to change the rate to $3.00 /hr and collect over pymt for the past years.
No, an employer cannot retroactively change an hourly pay rate. (In addition, an employer cannot pay less than the state's minimum hourly wage.)
