My husband and I are in the middle of a divorce. This stemmed from his drug use and assault against me. The same attorney who represented him on the assault, is now his divorce attorney. Is this not a conflict of interest due to the criminal matter where I was the victim?
This does not create a conflict. Attorneys often represent the same client on multiple cases. Had he previously been YOUR attorney then there would be a conflict.
