A writ of possession has been filed on my home. My elderly grandma lives with me as well as my son. They are not aware of this situation, because 1 I don’t have the heart to say it, and I thought I had it handled. Will they give more time for the sake of my grandmother? I live in NC and the lockout is scheduled for 8am tomorrow morning.
Unfortunately, no. The ONLY one who can delay the padlocking is your landlord who sought the writ after eviction. Or if this was after a foreclosure, the only entitty who can stop it is whomever issued the writ, which was likely the mortgage company.
