Our son has been in prison for 8 years for rape. He will be getting out in May His parol officer says he cannot have any contact at all with his 7 year old daughter. ( She is not involved with any of this situation) But for 5 years he has talked to her on the phone and even visited him in prison an nobody said anything. Is he right or just being to tuff?
Once he is released onto post release control, his supervising officer will have dramatic discretion to impose terms on his supervision. It would be unwise to violate those terms without addressing the issue to the parole authority or the courts first.
